Let's Explore Writing Our Own Plays!

A practical session for young writers of all experiences where they will work with an experienced writer to explore a range of exercises, activities, and skills. Empowering young writers to write their own original playscripts.

In the sessions participants will explore:

• Writing skills;
• Story generation tips;
• Character development exercises;
• Exploring existing playscripts;
• Understand how to get started;
• Tips on finding inspiration and exploring ideas.

Participants will then apply this learning to write an extract for performance of their own choosing under the guidance of the workshop leader who will be one of our Writing to Play writers, an experienced writer who brings with them a wealth of experience of writing for theatre.
