Skills development & training
Our Education Forums provide an opportunity for you to meet your peers from other schools and colleges, and to discuss how we can support your schools' activities through workshops, tours, shows and future projects.
The next forum meeting is on Thursday 19 March 2020, 5.30pm-7pm with the option of a complimentary ticket to see Blackeyed Theatre's Jane Eyre afterwards, plus drinks and nibbles.
Forums are open to anyone teaching formal education in Hampshire, from Early Years to University level.

Internships and Placements
Playmakers offer placements to students based at the University of Winchester.
Students work directly with the Playmakers team on Hat Fair and other creative projects.
Winchester School of Art runs placements with Play to the Crowd through the Excell Internship Programme.

Top Hat is a competition open to current students and graduates from the University of Winchester.
The competition is a place each year at Hat Fair festival and provides a platform for student performers to showcase their work.
Winners of the Top Hat competition will be mentored by Hat Fair Director Andrew Loretto to develop a brand new show that following year's Hat Fair festival.

Hat Fair Carnival: Teacher Training
Each year Hat Fair Outdoor Arts festival opens with a burst of riotous colour and costumes as hundreds of local school children celebrate down Winchester High Street in our fabulous Hat Fair Carnival.
We provide specialist training for teachers to make amazing carnival costumes so that they can inspire their pupils to make their own and join in the fun!
