We're are delighted to announce the following opportunities for you to play your part in some of the performances at Hat Fair 2022, Winchester's Outdoor Arts festival.
Theatre Témoin - FLOOD
Tuesday 7 June | 5pm-6.15pm | Theatre Royal Winchester
The Climate Crisis is personal…
Playmakers and Theatre Témoin would like to welcome volunteers to Theatre Royal Winchester to join us for a collaborative and mindful workshop exploring the world of FLOOD - a new, interactive outdoor spectacle, highlighting the health of the world’s ocean through the eyes of Britain’s communities. It will be performed at Hat Fair 2022.
Explore the impact of climate change on our coastlines and communities through a series of conversational and creative exercises. We will reflect on our relationship with the sea by refreshing our senses and engaging in playful discussion. Local voices are important to FLOOD so we will be recording some of the work we do together to inform the sound design for the show. Let your voice be heard!
Attendees will receive a complimentary ticket to that evening’s performance of mapdance 2022 which will begin at 7pm.

Jon Hicks - The Visionary
Fri 1 - Sun 3 July | Hat Fair
Playmakers and Jon Hicks would like to welcome volunteers to perform in The Visionary.
The Visionary will be bringing their mystical powers and wisdom beyond knowledge to Hat Fair 2022.
Volunteer performers will be involved in the creative process and undertake some puppeteering, some acting and some hidden chaos enabling for the show.
Those wishing to take part would need to be available for the following:
- Fri 1 July, 6pm-8pm (rehearsal in Winchester)
- Sat 2 July, 10am-12pm + 1pm-3pm (approx. performances 1 & 2, Winchester City Centre)
- Sun 3 July, 11am-1pm + 2pm-4pm (approx. performances 3 & 4, North Walls Recreation Ground)
