Playmakers Youth Theatre
Drama & Theatre (School Yrs 2–4)
Our specialised drama and theatre sessions are designed to enable participants to develop their skills, knowledge and passion in all elements of traditional and contemporary theatre making.
In the sessions participants will explore:
- Acting skills;
- Character development technique;
- Directing tips;
- Games for rehearsals;
- Performing on stage;
- Story generation exercises;
- Working with others.
Participants will apply their learning in sessions when working collaboratively with their fellow participants on traditional plays, new scripts and when creating their own original work.
Throughout the year there will be performance opportunities for participants to apply their learning in creating new performances for events such as our annual Hat Fair festival!
