Playmakers Youth Theatre
National Theatre Connections (School Yrs 9–13)
Our brand new National Theatre Connections performance group is open to any Playmakers Youth Theatre member in School Years 9-13.
Members of this group will work on a brand new play commissioned by the National Theatre, leading to a minimum of two performances in two different theatres as part of the nationwide Connections youth theatre festival.
Although participants will need to be a member of one of our other Playmakers Youth Theatre groups, we are not only offering roles for performers - we're offering all production roles to participants!
The full roles we have available are:
- Assistant director;
- Costume designer;
- Lighting designer;
- Sound designer;
- Stage manager.
If you're unsure of which role would be the right one to opt for, then do contact our Young People's Producer, firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss further.
Rehearsals will begin on Monday 1 November and take place weekly through to the performance weeks in April.
Those participants in the group will be given a full rehearsal schedule in the first session on Monday 1st November. Please do note that schedules will be generated in a way which means no participant would be required to attend every week.
